I Started the CGMA environment 2 course in October. Been a great first month picking up some new techniques and seeing a bit of an improvement in certain areas. Here's most of the work so far.
Posts will hopefully start to get a bit more frequent after the next week or two. The ship in the dock started as a quick sketch to try and figure out its shape, before I go on to finish the black and white thumbnail. A few references I had of aeroplanes landing showed the runway reflected below. I tried to mimic this quickly right at the end of painting with a bit of photo ref, but not sure that it works that well. Might be too subtle, or maybe the lighting of the landing area itself needs to be changed.
Here's a few recent images to start! Mainly trying to figure out some techniques that make use of custom brushes for large areas, to speed things up. Was never much of a Photoshop user until a few months ago. Painter always seemed the most comfortable software to work with, but now I'm at a point where the majority of time is spent in Photoshop.
